Description

The Prusa XL+ is a large-format 3D printer toolchanger with a build volume of 360 x 360 x 360 mm (46.7 litres) and, optionally, up to five independent toolheads for automatic material changes. It is designed for prototyping teams and small-batch production users who want to produce large parts or multi-material prints with minimal waste. The XL+ builds on the proven XL platform and incorporates key improvements requested by the community and professional users.

► What is new in the XL+?

The Prusa XL+ improves on the most important areas of the previous generation: calibration, cooling and print quality. The following changes have a direct impact on accuracy, speed and ease of use.

  • Fully automatic tool calibration: A dedicated electronic sensor automatically aligns all toolheads. Instead of the previous mechanical pin calibration, the sensor performs this step more precisely and much faster.

  • Smarter cooling for the toolheads and electronics: Revised cooling on the individual toolheads improves print quality and overhang performance, reducing the need for support structures. Additional fans and heatsinks also keep the electronics cool during operation.

  • Higher print speeds: The XL+ prints around 10 to 15% faster than the previous XL model. On a 60-hour print, that can save around eight hours.

  • Cleaner print starts: An integrated nozzle wiper cleans all nozzles before each print, improving pre-print calibration and helping deliver cleaner print results.

  • Smoother surfaces: New GT1.5 belts reduce fine, repeating patterns, which is especially noticeable on large, smooth surfaces often printed on the XL.



The fastest multi-material printer

When deadlines are tight or larger quantities are required, the XL+ shows what it can do. With its lightning-fast toolchanger, Input Shaper and Pressure Advance technology, the printer delivers impressively fast results without compromising on print quality.

The innovative Nextruder handles even demanding overhangs down to 15° and processes flexible filaments just as reliably as engineering-grade materials. Complex multicolour or multi-material prints? The XL+ handles them with ease, faster than any other multi-material printer on the market.

XL+ toolchanger

The centrepiece of the XL+ is its revolutionary toolchanger. Up to five materials can be loaded at the same time, with toolhead changes taking place in fractions of a second. With space for up to five 2 kg spools, even huge objects can be printed without interrupting the printer.

Segmented heated bed

The Original Prusa XL+ uses a unique segmented heated bed made up of 16 independently controlled tiles. This modular design eliminates heat deformation that can occur with conventional heated beds, ensuring consistently high print quality and maximum reliability.

Energy efficiency is also built in: unused tiles are automatically switched off to minimise power consumption.

Continuous printing with Spool Join

Empty spool? No problem. The Spool Join function switches seamlessly to the next spool as soon as the current one runs out. Use up leftover spools or print huge models up to 10 kg without lifting a finger.

Connect to your printer, wherever you are

With wired and wireless connectivity, the printer can be controlled remotely via the secure, encrypted Prusa Connect system. Simply upload G-code by drag and drop in the browser and start printing within seconds.

Prusa Connect makes your workflow smarter: schedule prints efficiently, keep track of progress and monitor everything conveniently via webcam.

Maintenance and ease of use at the highest level

With automatic calibration, simple one-click printing and a consistently perfect first layer, you can focus fully on your creative projects. The XL+ takes care of the rest: no nozzle height adjustment, no panic when filament runs out, the printer handles it for you.
