Description

The BIGTREETECH Kraken V1.0 is a 32-bit motherboard specifically designed for large-capacity printers. The motherboard has an integrated high-voltage, high-current stepper motor driver, which facilitates connection to high-voltage drivers and significantly reduces case complexity. The space-saving Kraken board is equipped with ID-design heatsinks for effective heat dissipation.

Wide compatibility for effortless control

The Kraken motherboard has 8 TMC2160 drivers. Since they support a wide voltage range of 24V-60V, not only is seamless compatibility guaranteed, but the performance and efficiency of your large-capacity 3D printer is also significantly increased. At the same time, there is a 52% reduction in heat generation, which means that the individual components have a longer service life and can withstand high loads.

Simultaneous operation of two print heads

A powerful H723 chip with special connections allows two print heads to be operated simultaneously. This allows both print heads to perform their function smoothly and maximise the overall efficiency of the 3D printer without having to make any savings in quality.

Thanks to two CAN interfaces, both print heads can be connected to the EBB (Extruder Breakout Board) at the same time to enable versatile 3D printing configurations.

Versatile connectivity

The motherboard can be connected to external single-board computers (SBC) such as BTT PI and Raspberry Pi for greater flexibility. A separate interface for the power supply offers additional ease of use.

Supports precise temperature control

For precise temperature control, the Kraken motherboard supports two MAX31865 channels and two channels of PT100/PT1000 resistors.

High current output

Kraken has M1-M4 sockets for up to 8A output and M5-M8 for up to 3A output. In this way, the compatibility of high-performance motors can be optimally combined with improved control.

Two JST sockets with CAN support

The CAN module ensures stable and reliable data transmission as well as easy connection of two EBB SB2240/2209 CAN boards. Either a StealthBurner or other CAN devices can be expanded for additional functions.

All-round motherboard protection

► eFuse with Auto-Grade Circuit Shield:

An eFuse circuit protects the motherboard from potential damage and ensures continued reliability over extended use. With rapid overload shutdown and self-recovery, eFuse provides maintenance-free protection that meets the highest safety standards.

Functions: Faster shutdown in case of overload, self-resetting protection, operation at low currents, over-current protection, short-circuit protection, reverse current protection, over-voltage protection, reverse polarity protection

► Thermistor Leakage Protection:

Additional thermistor protection circuits prevent damage to the control chip and ensure fail-safe operation.
