Bondtech DDX V3 For Creality 3D printers
The Bondtech DDX V3 Direct Drive Extruder for Creality 3D Printers is an upgrade kit that replaces the original Bowden with a direct drive setup. It is a high-performance, dual-drive extruder based on the BMG Bondtech Mini Geared.
Compatible with multiple hotends
This model was created to be compatible with the original hotend of each Creality model. Users can also upgrade the hotend to Copperhead or Mosquito.
DDX adapter kit required
The DDX V3 is compatible with most Creality Ender and CR-10 series 3D printers. The DDX V3 requires a kit of adapters for each model or set of models.
Special sets of adapters and cables are required to upgrade the hotend.
Copperhead or Mosquito Hotend
To upgrade the hotend to Copperhead or Mosquito on a Creality 3D printer with DDX V3, the thermistor must be replaced. A firmware update is required when replacing the thermistor. It should be noted that the hotend cannot be upgraded if the printer does not have a boot loader:
Example: Ender-3 / Ender 3 Pro / Ender 5 / Ender 5 Pro / CR-10 / ...

Use of a level sensor with DDX V3
The DDX V3 was designed so that the levelling sensor can be attached to the X-Carriage. For models that do not have space to attach a bed probe such as the BLTouch to the X-Carriage, a bracket can be printed and attached to the right side of the DDX.
Bondtech DDX V3 Direct Drive eXtruder
This Direct Drive eXtruder from Bondtech is a powerful, highly reliable 1.75mm dual drive extruder for Creality 3D printers based on the very popular BMG. The housing parts are printed with PA12 (polyamide) for maximum strength and precision using SLS technology in industrial quality.
Easy to set up
To make it easier to set up, the kit is attached to the carriage with just 2 screws.

My first direct drive
Paired this with a Slice Engineering Mosquito hotend on an Ender 3 v2. Set the retraction to 0.4 at a speed of 35. I also swapped out the lead screws for a z belt assembly. The quality is superb. As far as the extruder goes, easy to change filament, not one skipped step in well over a years use, I haven't had to think about it at all. But it has definitely contributed to a significant improvement to my prints.

Bondtech PH4 upgrade from Creality CR10S Pro V2
Wow !!!! Such a massive upgrade to my beloved CR10S Pro V2. Have printed huge amounts on the stock setup but my extruder and hotend were both tired. This upgrade has lifted my printer to a different level and is a massive improvement. I coupled this with the Slice Copperhead, PH4 thermistor, heater and BLTouch adapter and couldn’t be more delighted. Just the best upgrade with huge improvements in flow and accuracy. Having moved to Klipper, input shaping and pressure advance my bedslinging printer is running 100mm/s with 1500mm/s accel and printing beautifully.
Bondtech & Slice will be spec’d on my forthcoming Voron 2.4. Top marks for the 3dJake team in their awesome communication and confirm I had specified the kit correctly.
