The most popular nozzles are still made of brass. Why? Because the material is quite cheap and has numerous beneficial properties.
High-precision nozzles can be made from brass. The material conducts heat excellently and does not corrode. As a result, it has the best prerequisites for the most common materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG and many more. It is wonderfully easy to work with.
Unfortunately, brass reaches its limits when it comes to materials with abrasive particles. Metal, wood, carbon or glow in the dark filaments will corrode brass nozzles over time.
Nevertheless, the brass nozzles remain our absolute all-rounders and are suitable for every printer.
