Description
The Phaetus Dragonfly is an all-metal hotend, which mainly consists of copper alloy for better thermal conductivity. Depending on the heating cartridge, the hotend can be heated up to 500 ° C. Therefore, with the Dragonfly Hotend, it is possible to process a wide variety of high-temperature materials and abrasive materials thanks to the all-metal design.
Due to the conical connection of the heat break and heat sink, the hot end has far better heat dissipation than conventional hot ends.
The internal hole roughness (≤ Ra0.3) and the precise production tolerances also improve the print quality and enable an even filament flow.

I've bought mine on 10.06.2022 and it is version 7. Figured it out, while trying to fit it on Stealhburner extruder and it matches the part for the 7th.

I am running Klipper on my Ender 5 Pro and the standard hotend cannot keep up with the speed increase and often leaves voids in surfaces. The DragonFly bms is a good replacement. Capable of the high flow rates and due to its cleaver heat break opens the printer up to a much wider range of materials. In my option this hotend is easier to fit than the E3D V6 and performs as well or maybe better. I did find the Creality fixing screws too long for the dragonfly but an extra washer fitted to each screw solved the problem.

This is an excellent upgrade from stock if you're looking for an all metal hotend. Heats up quickly, very stable temps on a calibrated printer, comes with a metal sheath for the thermistor should you need it and experiences significantly less heat-creep in circumstances where the stock hotend will ruin the print.

I never had trouble with it. The FullMetal Heatbreak is amazing. it is easy to change the nozzle and to cleanup too.
BUT: the width is 26mm and a lot of fanduck are to small.
Idem for the level of the nozzle to high and the fan event may touch the bed. I needed to modify the satsana fanduck.

Habe mir das Hotend für meinen umgebauten Ender 5pro mit Direct-Drive geholt. Von der ersten Minute bin ich sehr zufrieden. Kein Verstopfen und mit 60W Heizpatrone bin ich sehr schnell und Präzise unterwegs. FW angepasst und auf 350°C ausgelegt neuen Termistor und siehe da ASA lässt sich deutlich besser drucken. PC macht nun deutlich mehr Spaß. In Sache Düse mache ich keine Versuche mehr nur Orginal dann läuft das.

I bought this item as a drop in replacement for an ender 3, i have tune a replaced lots for parts to try to get this hotend to print well to no avail. 3d jake say its a temp issue but i'm unable to get prints as good as the stock hotend. Not happy as 3djake has no idea as to what the problem is or how to fix it. I will be returning this item.
