Description
The Prusa Prusament PETG Tungsten 75% is a highly specialised 3D printing filament designed for radiation shielding applications. Containing a high proportion of tungsten powder (75%), the material combines the printability of PETG with the physical properties of a heavy metal. Tungsten is characterised by its high density, chemical stability and resistance to oxidation at room temperature. It does not react with water and, unlike lead, is hypoallergenic and non-toxic, making it suitable for use in sensitive environments.
This filament is particularly well suited to producing complex, customised components for shielding against X-ray and gamma radiation. Additive manufacturing enables parts to be realised far more flexibly and efficiently than with conventional production methods - whether in medical settings, industry, research or measurement technology.
As a PETG-based material, Prusament PETG Tungsten 75% offers strong layer adhesion, solid mechanical properties and reliable processing on suitable FDM/FFF 3D printers.
