Description
The QIDI Tech Max4 Combo delivers maximum power in one complete package: the gigantic Max4 meets a perfectly matched Multi Material System for uncompromising professional results. With an actively heated chamber, an 800 mm/s high-speed CoreXY system, industrial-grade precision and intelligent temperature management, the combo handles even demanding filaments such as PC, nylon or carbon fibre with ease. Enhanced cooling, AI monitoring, a high-temperature hotend and premium accessory components create a full setup that produces large parts quickly, with minimal warping and rock-solid reliability.
With a generous build volume of 390 × 390 × 340 mm and a completely redesigned, industry-grade internal structure, the QIDI Tech Max4 delivers precision, stability and speed at a level that is practically unmatched in the desktop segment. Thanks to its actively heated chamber, intelligent airflow management and high-precision CoreXY motion engine, it handles large PLA prints just as reliably as demanding high-temperature materials.
Large build volume for every application
Whether prototyping, functional parts or XXL props – 390 × 390 × 340 mm allows you to print large-scale models without segmentation.
Third-generation active chamber heating up to 65°C
With the Max4, QIDI introduces a new level of temperature-stable material processing, as all filaments now benefit from an actively heated chamber. The result: larger parts, reduced warping and significantly improved process stability.
► Active Cooling Air Control System + active chamber heating: The combination of precise airflow and consistent heat supply ensures that even large PLA models remain perfectly dimensionally stable without lifted edges.
► Efficiently cooled direct-blow extruder: The optimised air-cooling system reduces clogging by up to 90% and ensures reliable extrusion even during long print jobs.
► Third-generation active chamber heating up to 65°C: A fully reworked air-circulation concept creates ideal conditions for demanding materials such as ABS, ASA, PC and PA.
► Polar Cooler + chamber heating: This combination particularly shines with large PLA projects: reduced warping, improved adhesion and consistently stable results.
Industrial precision at a new level
The Max4 brings true industrial quality to the desktop. Every aspect of its construction is engineered for maximum precision. And it shows in every single layer.
No vibrations, no artefacts, just outstanding Z-stability. With the shortest Z-stroke in its class and a 2 mm Z-lead screw, the system moves with exceptional control and minimal vibration. The new anti-backlash nut eliminates play entirely, ensuring perfect layer placement without wobble, ghosting or ripple effects.
Industrial-grade heated bed temperature control
The heated bed of the QIDI Tech Max4 sets a new benchmark for temperature management. The 390 × 390 mm industrial heating bed with a silicone heater layer features tightly packed heating wires and additional insulation, ensuring uniform heat distribution across the entire surface.
The result is reliable adhesion, constant temperatures without fluctuations and large parts that print without warping, including at the outer edges.
FOC servo drive for maximum speed & control
The Max4 uses a powerful FOC closed-loop stepper motor, delivering a 65% performance boost compared with the previous generation. This enables true high-speed performance with print speeds of up to 800 mm/s and an acceleration of 30,000 mm/s², making it ideal for large-format prints without unnecessary delays.
High-flow hotend up to 370 °C
With a flow rate of 40 mm³/s and a maximum temperature of 370 °C, the hotend handles even the most demanding technical materials.
- Ceramic heatbreak for optimal thermal separation,
- New cooling module to reduce clogging,
- Bimetal hardened steel nozzle with high wear resistance – ideal for abrasive carbon or glass-fibre filaments.
1.5GT drive belts for exceptionally smooth motion
The new high-density tooth belt, combined with intelligent resonance compensation, ensures smoother movement, reduced vibration (minimised VFA) and improved surface quality.
Next-generation stability & precision
The Max4 uses a full linear-guide system that guarantees consistently smooth movement and long-term dimensional accuracy, even after thousands of operating hours. Together with the full-metal CoreXY frame and high-quality bearings, it forms an extremely robust motion platform - exactly what QIDI is known for.
Precise levelling through true contact measurement
Instead of separate sensors, the Max4 uses the nozzle itself as the measurement point. This means:
- no offset that needs to be calibrated,
- no influence from different build surfaces,
- no false readings caused by vibrations.
5-inch HD touchscreen & smart UI
The large 5-inch touchscreen provides crisp visuals and responds extremely quickly thanks to the new high-performance processor. The modernised user interface guides you intuitively through all functions.
Integrated AI camera for secure prints
The built-in AI camera monitors every print in real time. It detects common issues such as spaghetti-builds or detaching prints and intervenes early, ensuring safer operation, less waste and consistently reliable results.
Additional features:
- constant multi-sensor temperature monitoring,
- high-efficiency air filtration removes up to 99.5% of particles and fine dust from the build chamber,
- flame-retardant print chamber for increased safety,
- ergonomic lower handle makes carrying the printer easier,
- smooth underside for effortless cleaning,
- durable, heat-resistant glass ensures a clear view of the print at all times.
The QIDI Box is the perfect companion for your Max4 printer, keeping your filaments protected and ready to print at any time. With precise temperature and humidity control, it keeps sensitive materials such as nylon, PC or CF filaments reliably dry, resulting in noticeably better print quality, fewer clogs and stable results even during long-duration projects. With its compact, enclosed design, easy operation and high efficiency, the QIDI Box is the ideal accessory for your printer.
Capacity for up to 16 colours
Add colour to your workspace! Connect up to four boxes and use up to 16 filaments simultaneously.
Dual Gear Power
The hardened-steel dual-gear extrusion system enables the QIDI Box to handle tough materials such as carbon-fibre, glass-fibre or other composite filaments with ease.
Supports? No problem.
Whether it's breakaway or water-soluble supports, with the QIDI Box you can print and remove support structures easily, ensuring smooth results without any hassle.
Efficient drying during printing
The QIDI Box keeps your spools dry at a constant 65°C, even during printing. This means fewer strings and improved precision.
Seamless spool changes
The smart filament box detects when a spool is empty and automatically switches to the next one. This ensures uninterrupted printing and reduces material waste.
Intelligent filament detection via NFC
Insert and start: the box automatically identifies QIDI filaments and adjusts all print settings accordingly.
Top-tier safety
Equipped with PTC protection and two temperature sensors, the box monitors all processes in real time. If unusual values occur, it shuts down immediately for safe printing at all times.
Additional features:
- real-time humidity monitoring,
- automatic detection of filament blockages,
- airtight sealing for moisture protection,
- modular design for quick spool replacement.
