Alright
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
The box is useful for keeping the filament dry. But for the build quality its quite expensive. Only reason I got these is because they're one of the few that will fit a 3kg spool. Had a slight hope they would fit a 5kg spool too but they don't. missed opportunity as it only had to be a tiny bit larger.
It has no active heating so if your filament is already moist this box will not really dry it. But otherwise it works good enough. Was this rating helpful? (0) (1)

Disappointing

Should have checked the product more first, but I expected this to have a heating element given every other one on the market does. The seal is also not great, at all. It feels cheap, but the price doesn't reflect that. The acrylic case is going to get scratched up very quick. The PTFE tube it comes with is very distorted and bent out of shape due to the way they wrapped it. Not to mention, the tube doesn't even stay in the holes. The whole product feels very sub-par for Polymaker.

absolute garbage

I orderded two of these polyboxes. The box is made very flimsy and when you want to close it you have to be careful not to push the whole thing in as those nodges it rests on are very small. Then then both of the hygrometers do not work. They do nothing at all. Then i found out these boxes are not very airtight at all. Meaning: you fill it with moist attracting bags. It will accumulate moist. Inside of the box. Result: congratulations, you now have more moist IN the box compared to the situation out of the box within weeks. The opposite of what you wanted.

this is a great bit of kit now the have done the modification there are now 2 sets of exit holes the normal ones in the lid and the mod. ones in the base , so now you can change spools easy ,just lift the lid off, whereas before it was difficult as the filament came out of the lid ,
great job very pleased with mine recommend this productWas this rating helpful? (1) (2)

works great we were having problems printing and we then learned you need to keep the filament dry. We bought this and it has made a massive change and our printing is now as we wanted it to be.

This is definitely a solution for anyone short on time and needing a dry box for their filament. However, there are some serious design flaws which make the box difficult to use. I found that when using the horizontal feeder hole for my filament that the box shifted and the lid was often pulled open. This could be easily solved with a latch, but after paying £60+ you shouldn't have to be making product upgrades.
My advice to anyone looking to buy one of these is to make one yourself following the numerous Youtube tutorials, as you will end up upgrading the polybox anyway. Was this rating helpful? (18) (0)

Waste of money. Not durable nor robust. I would love to return it but obviously I used it a few times. Looks and feels very very cheap. Does not perform good with my printer. The box is not airtight. Edges are not sealed.
