I am answering my own question. I bought one to find out. The answer is no. The 4 max is finer and the 3 max thermistor is too big. Also the lugs on the plug would need to be filed off to fit the socket. I got a complete new hot end but still have the problem of no temperature at the nozzle. may be its a cable or motherboard???
