With sustainable Fishy Filaments , which are made from 100% recycled nylon PA6 from used fishing nets, Fillamentum acts proactively towards avoiding waste and reducing the negative impact on the environment. What started with fishing nets can expand to broad areas of the circular economy in the future.
OrCA ® filaments
The OrCA ® filament is a combination of recycled nylon PA6 fishing nets and carbon fibres (10%). The environmentally friendly filament helps ensure that used fishing nets do not end up in the trash or pollute the oceans, but are instead converted into valuable resources through an innovative recycling process.
The unique low-carbon mixture has excellent mechanical properties such as high strength and rigidity. The material is also UV-stable, abrasion and creep resistant and temperature resistant up to 180 °C.
