Phrozen Quick-Release Film Resin Vat, Sonic Mighty Revo 16K Max

The Phrozen Quick-Release Resin Vat is a standard 2-litre resin vat featuring a four-sided locking system that allows the film to be replaced in approximately three minutes without a screwdriver. Made from CNC-machined aluminium, the vat holds approximately 2.5 bottles of resin and features wide handles and an enlarged pouring spout. It comes with a pre-installed film and can be used as a replacement or spare vat.

Replace the film using clips instead of screws

Instead of screws, four fixing plates and locking clips secure the film to the frame. This saves time and eliminates the need for tools every time the film is replaced. Silicone layers ensure correct alignment and even film tension.

2-litre capacity for long print jobs

The vat holds 2 litres of resin. In a Phrozen laboratory test, it accommodated 2.5 bottles of resin weighing 1 kg each, although the actual quantity depends on the resin used. This provides more resin for large models or overnight print jobs, reducing the need for frequent refilling. An internal MAX marking indicates the maximum fill level.

Handles and pouring spout for cleaner handling

Wide handles make the large vat easier to hold and carry. The enlarged pouring spout helps minimise drips when pouring resin back into its container.

Durable aluminium construction with a powder-coated finish

The body is made from CNC-machined aluminium. Its sandblasted, powder-coated surface offers greater resistance to wear and reduces the tendency of resin residue to adhere. This helps maintain the vat's shape and sealing performance over time.

Note: The vat comes with a pre-installed release film and is ready to use as soon as it is fitted. For future replacements, only the film designed for the Quick-Release Resin Vat is compatible. It features pre-punched holes, requires no cutting and maintains consistent tension. Phrozen advises against using third-party film cut to size, as misaligned holes or uneven tension can affect layer release and printing stability. Film designed for the Heated Resin Vat is NOT compatible!

► When to replace the vat: The vat is designed for long-term use. Replace it if it becomes warped or no longer seals properly, if the mounting bracket is damaged, if the surface shows significant wear, or if the locking clips and fixing plates become loose or damaged. If only the film is damaged, replacing the film is sufficient.

► Care: Clean the vat after every print and keep sharp tools away from the film. Replace damaged film immediately. Empty the vat before storing it for extended periods. After opening or closing the locking system, ensure that all fixing plates and clips are fully secured to maintain a proper seal.
