Product information & technical details
Description
Spectrum's FGF Pellets PLA Carbon have been specifically developed for printing with a large format 3D printer using FGF technology. This is a modified PLA-based material mixed with carbon fibres (10%) to increase stiffness, hardness and tensile strength. Despite the modification, Carbon PLA Pellets retain the easy printability, low shrinkage and very good adhesion of classic, pure PLA. The carbon fibres give the printed models an aesthetic, matt surface.
Note: Due to the high carbon fibre content, nozzles with a larger diameter than the standard 0.4 mm should be used. In addition, the addition of abrasive carbon fibres can lead to increased nozzle wear, which is why the use of hardened steel or ruby nozzles is recommended for processing Spectrum FGF Pellet Carbon PLA.
Tip: Here you can find PLA Carbon in filament form.
Possible applications:
- Manufacture of spacers subjected to static pressure loads,
- Production of decorative parts,
- Manufacturing of exterior elements of a design or prototype.
