Description
The ecoPLA Matt has been slightly modified to make it perfect for 3D printing applications.
PLA (polylactic acid) is a non-toxic biodegradable 3D printing material.
3DJake ecoPLA Matt is a cheap & high-quality alternative for many printers.
PLA is one of the most popular 3D printing materials due to its features and good printability.
The properties of the ecoPLA Matt by 3DJake:
- Matt surface (low refraction of light)
- Minimal shrinkage
- Minimal warping
- Good diameter and roundness tolerances
- No unpleasant odours
- Easy to print
- Tougher & less brittle than conventional Matt PLA filament
3DJake ecoPLA Matt Filament can be used with almost any FDM 3D printer.

Perfect matt effect
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
Some matt PLA turns a bit too shiny when printed but this has a nice matt finish after print. I would say these 3Djake products are very good and i keep getting consistently nice results with is.

Fragile and Oozey
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
The finish of this filament is really interesting. It's not just matte, it has a textured finish that diffuses any reflections and efficiently obscures the lines, Like the classic woolly sheep but on a much finer scale. Unfortunately it's just not worth the post processing to remove the all the stringing caused by the extreme amount of oozing. Even just holding of 180c causes filament to pour out the nozzle like no filament I've ever used before. It is also quite fragile between the layers so I cannot use it for functional prints.
Initially, given the texture and oozing, I assumed that the filament was wet. However, while the overall print quality did improve after I dried it the oozing did not.Was this review helpful? (1) (0)

It is already possible to create prints using materials such as titanium, ceramics, wood, and many more.

Incredibly oozy and layeradhesion isnt great at lower temperature
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
I bought the filament to test the matt finish and it is quite nice indeed. Its stilll not matt like "chalk board paint" but it has some texture and rough prints look quite nice.
BUT: The temperature range from 205 to 225 is absurd. I have a calibrated hotend and i made temperature towers down to 160°! I printed it at 175° on a volcano hotend. Above these its viscosity is like water... as someone else mentioned it is more like printing low temperature wood filament. At this low temperature stringing is ok, but layer adhesion is not the best.
I cannot recommend this filament.
