Product information & technical details

Description

This remote-controlled filtration kit from Alveo3D has been specially developed for Bambu Lab 3D printers. The kit reduces ultrafine particles (UFPs) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by a factor of four, ensuring a more pleasant printing environment with consistently high-quality printing results.

► Compatible with Bambu Lab P1S, X1/X1C, Combo with AMS and AMS Hub.

Tip: The system is available in two versions with different STEP files (the kit remains unchanged), which adapt perfectly to your printing needs. Version 1 is designed for efficient single-colour printing with minimal material loss, while version 2 has been optimised with clever details for multi-colour and multi-material printing:

Version 1 - ideal for single-colour printing Version 2 - ideal for multi-colour printing
Version 1 is perfect for anyone who mainly prints in one colour. It works particularly efficiently and minimises filament waste - ideal if you value clean, resource-saving printing.

Version 2 is the ideal choice for anyone who prints with multiple colours or materials. It generates slightly more filament waste, but offers maximum flexibility and convenience for multicolour printing.

There are two variants of this version:

  • Internal: For a compact design.
  • External: Enables particularly easy emptying.

The integration of printable TPU connectors ensures greater stability and long-lasting use.

Note: Alveo3D recommends users of the AMS Hub to print the following adapter model: Support AMS/Hub.

What makes the filtration kit so special?

  • Minimises harmful emissions: The integrated HEPA13 filter traps the smallest particles produced during printing. The activated carbon reliably neutralises VOCs for a fresh environment.
  • Larger filter, better performance: Thanks to the revised design with a larger filter surface, you benefit from even more efficient air purification.
  • Versatile DIY options: You can print the main components yourself - the STL files are available free of charge. You only need to buy the essential parts such as the P3D-R filter, H12 fan, screws and magnets.
  • Simple integration, no modifications: The kit can be installed without any changes to your printer. It is conveniently controlled by remote control.
  • Also serves as a container for collecting filament waste.

Note: STEP files with parts to print yourself can be found below!

Tip: It is recommended to replace the filter after approx. 600 hours of printing or every two months.

Included in the delivery:

  • High-Pressure fan H12 (120 mm, 24V)
  • EPDM seal
  • P3D-R filter with HEPA H13 and activated carbon
  • M3 & M4 screw kit
  • DC 24V power supply unit
  • Remote Control

FAQs:

This clearly looks like a ventilation inlet/outlet at the front of the unit. How does it circulate the air?

The chamber fan normally stops when printing with ASA or ABS to maintain a stable temperature in the chamber - a requirement for these high temperature filaments. With the Alveo3D kit, however, the integrated fan remains in operation and ensures that the air is circulated within the chamber. This keeps the temperature optimally high for printing. In addition, the kit contains an exhaust air flap that efficiently removes air, which is particularly advantageous for filaments such as PLA or PETG, which do not require high temperatures.

Why is the air extracted from the area where the filament waste exits? Doesn't this affect the process?

The waste filament is collected in the second part of the kit, which contains a tube to circulate the hot air. Although some cleaning is required to remove the accumulated plastic waste, the system ensures that this is handled effectively. The kit has been specifically designed to ensure maximum safety for users without the need for structural changes or a complete casing of the machine.

  • What about PLA? I've a P1S. In the past if the chamber gets too warm, I have problems. Can I just skip attaching the poop chute assembly and vent the exhaust?
